Our founder has sat in the seats you're targeting — and he'll prepare you for every interview the way someone who's been on the other side of the table would.
Most recruiters have never read a project schedule, walked a jobsite, or understood what it actually means to close out a complex project under a compressed schedule. They review your resume for keywords, match titles, and move on. The result is introductions that don't fit — and a process that treats your career like a transaction.
VSP was built differently. Our founder has held every role you're targeting, from Project Engineer to Project Executive. He has navigated the same career decisions you're making now — weighing firm culture, project type, comp structure, and long-term trajectory. He knows what it's like to be on the other side of this conversation.
That shared experience is what makes VSP different. We don't just place you — we advocate for you. We prepare you for every interview with coaching from someone who has conducted hundreds of them and has sat in the candidate's chair at every level of career advancement. We tell you what firms are actually looking for, what questions to expect, and how to present your experience in the way a hiring manager will actually respond to.
We've held the roles you're targeting. We evaluate your background the way a hiring manager at your target firm would — not by scanning for keywords.
Our founder has conducted hundreds of interviews and has been through the process at every level. We prepare you thoroughly — before every round.
We're not placing a resume. We're building a relationship. VSP is invested in your career — not just your next placement.
Patrick Morse began his career working for a landscaping and earthwork subcontractor through high school, building an early understanding of field operations and the physical reality of construction before ever stepping into an office. After earning a degree in Construction Management, he advanced through the office ranks at both large ENR-ranked national firms and leaner high-performing regional organizations across Southern California.
Patrick has delivered projects across Lump Sum, GMP, and Design-Build structures across education, hospitality, seismic retrofits, large-scale tenant improvements, and complex commercial work. He has acted as a pursuit champion, led preconstruction coordination with estimating and marketing teams, reviewed prime contracts, negotiated change orders, and managed the full project lifecycle from competitive pursuit to owner occupancy.
Because Patrick has been through every stage of this career himself — including the uncertainty, the lateral moves, and the big decisions — he brings a perspective to candidate representation that goes beyond recruiter-speak. He knows what questions the hiring manager is going to ask. He knows what answers land and which ones don't. And he will make sure you walk into every interview as prepared as possible.
We've held the positions you're targeting. We know the difference between someone who's done the job and someone who just describes it well.
LA Basin geography, commute realities, AHJ complexity — we match you to roles where the fit is real, not just close on paper.
Nothing is shared without your consent. We introduce you only to firms where we genuinely believe the opportunity is right for you.
We evaluate by project scale, delivery method, culture fit, and career trajectory — not by who matches the most words on a job description.
Complete your intake, sign your right-to-represent agreement, and submit your references. Patrick will be in touch within 48 hours.
